Alur Kingdom took delivery of vehicles pledged by President Yoweri Museveni

The King of Alur His Majesty Olarker Philip Rauni III has received new vehicles Following the presidential pledge of 2018.

The vehicles that were handed over the Alur Kingdom Prime Minister Rt.Hon. Vincent Ochaya Orach recently included a principal car and a lead car which is to help him aid the King’s work within the kingdom.

According to the prime minister Alur Kingdom Rt.Hon. Vincent Ochaya Orach, during the 8th coronation anniversary in 2018, following the kingdoms request for support to His excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, he pledged to support the kingdom with a vehicle for the King, minibus for the chiefs, two tractors and a double cabin pickup for the Alur kingdom land board.

“The president also pledged to construct the palace worth 1.26 billion, 32 houses for the chiefs of the Kingdom covering Nebbi, Pakwach, and Zombo valued at 100 million each, totaling to 32 billion shillings and also boosting Alur kingdom SACCO with 50 million shillings” he added.

“For the past two years we have been following this pledge. I am glad that the president has started to deliver on his pledge and we expect to receive the minibus soon” the Prime Minister said.

He said the facilitation and support will propel the kingdom to that next level in service delivery for sustained transformation of the people in line with the government policy.

Hon Grace Kwiyocwiny Freedom the Minister of State for Northern Uganda applauded the president for his commitment towards supporting the Alur kingdom.

“The president is willing to start with the construction of the 32 houses for the chiefs but urged the chiefs to do their part by laying the bricks” She said
