The people of Alur Kingdom have been warned against spreading false information that can cause disunity and division within the Kingdom.

Speaking during the burial of late Patrick Okumu Ringa the King of Alur, His Royal Majesty Phillip Olarker Rauni III cautioned the Alur people against spreading hateful information on social media that can lead to acts of hate and disunity.

“Misinformation is not good and I urge you to desist from it and remain united always in both good and bad times” he said.

He also urged the president to help protect the family of Ringa because many people may try to grab whatever he left behind.

Meanwhile Speaker of the chiefs Rwoth Jepther Urom said that the Hon Ringa was very instrumental in the kingdom and therefore they would protect the family and his legacy.

“we know and understand when head of families die many people came to claim their properties but in this case we shall support the family and make sure that whatever is left for the family will remain for them” He said.

The Minister of Tourism Hon Tom Butime promised to follow up on the demand of the family and also help the family recover debt from government.
